Hello! I’m Jaap Elzes. A media professional specialized in media innovation. Being a media professional is about designing original, profitable and technologically refined media products with the potential to engage audiences in completely new ways. My Path

In March 2015, I joined the executive master programme Media Innovation at the NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda. The Media Innovation programme is part of the Academy for Digital Entertainment and provided me with in-depth knowledge of digital media processes and it bridged the gap between theory and practice in media studies. I received my master’s degree in Media Innovation in May 2016.

In 2011 I started working for the regional broadcasting station Omrop Fryslân as a multimedia designer. Over the years, I had several responsibilities depending on the assigned tasks including; front-end development for additional websites, designing broadcasting graphics, graphic design, video editing for online content, content management, online advertising, and social media management. As initiator and part of the social media team at Omrop Fryslân, we achieved a significant increase in KPI of the social media platforms.

I started a new career in 2007 by joining the program Communication and Multimedia Design at the NHL University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden. I graduated for my bachelor degree in 2011. Before that, I was working as a security guard at judicial youth institute ‘Het Poortje’.
